Student Interviewing
YWAA, together with Yale's Alumni Schools Committee, sponsors a program for interviewing prospective
students. All applicants to Yale who wish to have an alumni interview in their community are given that
opportunity by the Undergraduate Admissions Office and the Alumni Schools Committee.
The Undergraduate Admissions Office coordinates the program, which comprises 8000 alumni
volunteers in 385 communities throughout the U.S. and the world. Volunteer interviewers from YWAA
undertake that task on their behalf here in Westchester.
Alumni who have participated in this program have found it to be very awarding. This is not surprising
given the talent of the applicant pool from our region.
YWAA and the ASC also sponsor an annual reception for admitted students in April.
If you are an alumnus who is considering participating in interviewing students, please contact Bill
Primps, our ASC Coordinator, at 212-259-8277 (email: wprimps@dl.com). Or visit Yale ASC.
